Jorth Gar holds weekly combat training sessions throughout the year, focusing on the many aspects of fighting and reenactment combat.
Trainings include instruction in improving weapon technique and safe and skillful fighting, both in one-on-one combat and group combat. We also practice military style drill and small unit maneuvers, as well as public performance.

We are always looking to expand our ranks, and we welcome all potential new recruits. If you’d like to come along and see what training is all about, visit our Facebook page for information on upcoming training dates and locations, and contact us to let us know you’re coming. For your first training session, bring sun protection, water, food, long pants, and garden/riggers gloves. We will provide you with the rest.
SE QLD Trainings
Trainings for our main regiment are held at the Tamborine Mountain State School Markets site (see map below). Trainings alternate between Saturday and Sunday throughout the month, beginning with the first Sunday of the month — check the Facebook page for training information and updates each weekend.
