Viking Culture Day (VCD) is held on Tamborine Mountain, hosted by Jorth Gar along with guest reenactment groups and vendors. VCD 2025 will be held on the 14th of September, and will celebrate Jorth Gar’s 20th anniversary.
VCD is an opportunity to be immersed in the culture and lifestyle of ancient Vikings, and learn more about the history surrounding them.
Watch our live weapons displays; learn about Viking armour, weapons, and battle tactics; try your hand at archery and shoot at the Viking warriors; see our cooks working over the fires; watch our artisans work their crafts; and wander through our camp to see how the vikings lived, slept, and worked.

Gates will open from 8am to 3pm. Entry $5 per person, family groups $15, and babies & toddlers free.
Archery tickets will be available at the gate — 5 arrows for $5, or 10 for $8.
The event will be held at the Tamborine Mountain State School Markets site, on the corner of Curtis & Long Roads.
We hope to see you there!
